Disappointed by the loot systems in Anthem? You’re not the only one. Despite being a loot shooter, BioWare’s latest game has proved enormously unsatisfying when providing the most vital part of the genre – the loot itself. The good news is, BioWare seems to be aware of the problem, and is hiring new people to fix it.

Reddit user SyntaxTheGr8 surveyed over 1,000 Anthem players to collect some data on the game. 49.9% of those polled said that they encountered many bugs when playing Anthem, and 20.4% said that they encountered hardware affecting bugs (likely referring to the Anthem PS4 crashing debacle). When asked to rate developer feedback for Anthem on a scale from 1 to 5, 38% rated BioWare’s performance a 1 and a mere 0.5% gave BioWare a perfect 5 rating. Using the same scale, SyntaxTheGr8 found that 55.8% of Anthem players polled gave the loot system a 1, and again, only 0.5% gave a 5 rating.

When the survey asked players, “How would you rate the current loot system for Anthem?” 55.8% of those surveyed answered with a 1, meaning over half of the people who took the survey ranked Anthem‘s most important element, the loot system, as a 1 out of 5. 29.4% of those surveyed rated Anthem‘s loot system a 2 out of 5, 12.6% gave the loot system a 3, 1.8% rated the loot system at a 4, and 0.5% rated the loot system a 5. This is not a good sign considering the game’s core gameplay loop relies on players hunting down loot. Buy Cheap Anthem Boosting on Mmocs.com with Cheap Price and Safe Payment.

The survey also asked people for their written responses to the question "If you were to change one thing in Anthem, what would it be?", the answers to which were then used to generate a word cloud and, uh, yeah... it paints a pretty clear picture of how people currently feel about BioWare's latest.

I don’t agree with the notion that it’s worrisome that BioWare is hiring loot and reward loop people for Anthem right now. I’m hearing things like “shouldn’t they have done this already???” with the implication being that they don’t already have people working on this stuff. These listings show that they want to bolster those teams and perhaps bring in a fresh perspective to redesign some of the areas in which Anthem is weak. That’s a good thing.

In mid-March, Bioware posted an update that acknowledged that Anthem has been a “rougher launch than expected” and stated that the company was dedicated to working on things mentioned in community feedback. It was said then that improvements to endgame loot, progression, and game flow were coming soon, seemingly on top of the many patches the team has already put out for Anthem.
